What Verification Involves

Verification confirms that a Reiki Practitioner has met the expected standards for safe, ethical, and professional Reiki practice, including:

Who Verification Is For

Our verification process is open to any Reiki Practitioner (minimum Reiki Second Degree) who:

​

• Has trained in the Usui Shiki Ryoho system of Reiki

• Holds a lineage traceable to Mikao Usui – 1st Generation

• Has completed training elsewhere and wishes to have their qualification formally verified

​

What We Check

We review your current Reiki qualifications to determine whether they meet the required standards of:

​

• The Reiki Core Curriculum (CC)

• The National Occupational Standards (NOS)

​

Documentation Required

Practitioners will be asked to provide:

​

• Reiki certificates for all levels

• Evidence of professional practice

• Proof of professional indemnity and public liability insurance

• Proof of right to work in the UK

• Full lineage back to Mikao Usui (1st Generation)

• Confirmation of training in the Usui Shiki Ryoho system

• Evidence of face‑to‑face training

• Minimum 65 hours of training

• Minimum 175 case studies

• Up‑to‑date CPD

• Confirmation that training was not completed online (we do not accept online Reiki courses)

The Verification Process

​Practitioners submit:

​

• Certificates

• Lineage record

• Insurance documents

• Case studies

• A completed questionnaire detailing experience, training, and practice

​

An assessor will review all documentation and conduct a professional discussion with you. This discussion provides further insight into your training and practice to ensure it aligns with the Core Curriculum and National Occupational Standards.

Two Routes to Verification

​

• ​Route 1 – Direct Verification

  • If all submitted documentation meets the required standards, verification proceeds immediate

Typical completion time: approximately 5 weeks.
Cost: £90

​

• Route 2 – Bridging to Verification

  • If your qualification does not fully meet the standards, we can offer a Qualification Bridging Course.

This additional training brings your existing qualification up to the level required by the Core Curriculum and National Occupational Standards.
Cost: determined by the level of bridging required.
