Accredited Vs Non-Accredited

Reiki Tradition – Our Teaching Standards and Course Structure:

At Reiki Tradition, we teach one unified Reiki 1st Degree Course, one unified Reiki 2nd Degree Course, and one unified Reiki 3rd Degree Master/Teacher Course. All students—Accredited and Non‑Accredited—attend the same high‑quality training, delivered to the full professional standards required within the UK Reiki industry.

Professional Standards and Accreditation Compliance:

Our Reiki 1st and 2nd Degree Courses are taught in full alignment with the following recognised professional bodies and regulatory frameworks:

  • Core Curriculum (CC)

  • National Occupational Standards (NOS)

  • Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)

  • Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) Code of Conduct

  • Complementary Health Professionals (CHP)

  • Reiki Council (RC)

Both Accredited and Non‑Accredited students receive the same teaching, same knowledge, and same level of respect throughout their training.

Course Attendance Requirements:

To comply with the Core Curriculum and NOS:

  • Accredited Students must attend both Reiki 1st Degree and Reiki 2nd Degree course elements.

  • Accredited Students must complete 65 hours of training.

  • Accredited Students must complete 175 case studies as part of their home‑study requirements.

Non‑Accredited Students attend the same courses but do not need to complete case studies or additional training hours.

Accredited Students:

Accreditation is a professional pathway and is not suitable for everyone. It is essential for anyone wishing to work:

  • Voluntarily or professionally within the NHS

  • In Hospices

  • In Care Homes

  • In Veterinary settings

  • In any statutory or regulated environment

To work in these settings, students must complete:

  • A Core Curriculum Accredited Qualification

  • 65 hours of training

  • 175 case studies

  • All required professional standards for CNHC verification

Only after completing all training hours and case studies will students receive a Diploma Certificate marked as Accredited.

Non‑Accredited Students:

A Non‑Accredited Reiki Course is ideal for those wishing to learn Reiki for:

  • Personal development

  • Family and friends

  • Supporting their own animals

  • Private, non‑clinical practice

Non‑Accredited Students:

  • Attend the same 1st and/or 2nd Degree courses

  • Receive the same teaching and training

  • Do not complete case studies

  • Receive a Non‑Accredited Certificate within 7 days of course completion

Our Ethos at Reiki Tradition:

Our ethos is simple:

Teach to the highest standard, honour the lineage, and treat every student with equal respect.

By teaching Accredited and Non‑Accredited Students together, we ensure:

  • Equal access to high‑quality Reiki education

  • Consistent knowledge and understanding across all students

  • A unified learning environment rooted in professionalism and authenticity

The only difference between pathways is the additional training hours and case studies required for Accreditation.
