Reiki Tradition is a respected and long‑established School of Reiki dedicated to preserving the integrity, lineage, and spiritual depth of traditional Usui Reiki. ​Reiki Tradition focuses on three core areas of work:

​1. Education & Training

We deliver structured, authentic Reiki training that honours the original Japanese teachings of Mikao Usui while supporting students in today’s world. Our courses are comprehensive, accessible, and designed to build confidence and competence at every level.

2. Professional Reiki Practice

We support practitioners through:

Working with Hospices and Hospitals

Reiki Tradition has a strong history of working alongside healthcare professionals to provide supportive, non‑invasive complementary care.

Our involvement includes:

  • Support in palliative and end‑of‑life care

  • Stress‑reduction and emotional wellbeing support

A clear and authentic lineage is at the heart of Reiki Tradition. Our teachings trace directly back to Mikao Usui, the founder of the system of Reiki. Maintaining a transparent lineage ensures:

Our Unique UK Lineage Tracing System

Reiki Tradition operates the only dedicated Reiki lineage tracing system in the UK — completely free to use and open to everyone, regardless of where they trained.

This system allows practitioners, students, and teachers to:

  • Trace their Reiki lineage with accuracy

  • Verify the authenticity of their training

  • Understand their connection to the original Usui teachings

  • Contribute to a culture of transparency and professionalism

Our Courses

Reiki Tradition offers a complete and professionally structured training pathway, from beginner level through to advanced practitioner and teacher training.

Accredited Qualification Course (Professional Practitioner Level)

Reiki Tradition is proud to be a Professional renowned training provider and the first to be accredited in the North West of England. Our courses are fully aligned to the Core Curriculum and National Occupational Standards (NOS) for Reiki. This ensures that every student receives training that meets the highest professional and regulatory benchmarks in the country.

This programme meets and exceeds the requirements set by the Reiki Council, CNHC, CHP, and FHT.

Course Structure

The Accredited Qualification Course includes:

  • 65 hours of guided, structured training

  • 175 case studies, completed through supervised and independent practice

  • Practical assessments and written assignments

  • Professional development and reflective practice

  • Safeguarding, ethics, and practitioner responsibilities

  • Clinical readiness training for working in healthcare environments

Additional and Specific National Core Curriculum Standards for Animal Reiki Courses

Reiki Tradition is proud to run the only free Accredited Qualification Course in the entire UK 'The Pawsome World of Reiki For Animals'. This Unique course also aligns its Animal Reiki training with the Nationally Recognised Lantra Standards, Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966, code of professional conduct for veterinary surgeons, ensuring safe, ethical, and professional practice when working with animals.

Our Animal Reiki curriculum follows:
